25 women from 19 EDSO member countries, hosted by the Spanish Deaf Sports Federation (FEDS).
For the second time EDSO organised the equality and co-operation seminar on 7-9.11.2014 in Madrid, Spain. 25 women from the 19 EDSO member countries participated in the seminar. The Spanish Deaf Sports Federation, FEDS hosted the seminar. The Ministry of Sports in Spain was also present in the seminar during the opening presentations.
The previous similar seminar was organised by EDSO on 6-9.10.2011 in Prague, Czech Republic.
Iveta Kraze, LAT was responsible for the organisation of the seminar. In the seminar Johanna Mesch, SWE was the guest lecturer on women's rights.
The objective of the seminar was to make a survey and to develop the physical exercise and sports activities of women and girls in the EDSO member countries. The need to increase actions for women's activities in national meetings, congresses and other leading positions was also emphasised.
The EDSO Executive Committee would like to thank warmly all the participants, leaders, presenters and FEDS for carrying out this successful seminar.
